Just when you think Harper and Joe will finally move their relationship further things get in the way. I just hope the author doesn't let the whole thing between Harper and Joe take forever to happen. Books get annoying if things like that are prolonged too long. Another fun murder to solve. Though poor Grandma Grant.
I can't get past the fact that the author keeps trying to push this series being set in Maine even though it is clearly set in a small British town. Write what you know is the rule of thumb, isn't it? Well she doesn't. Nothing fits Maine.
The book is cute and cozy but the characters never grow throughout the series. Nothing changes and there isn't anything to hook on to. It's just a story but with nothing to make you want to keep coming back for more. I kept thinking things would get better by book three but I was wrong. It's just the same story retold in all three books.
GHOSTLY ENJOYMENT...read all three books and love it. Awaiting the next installment.
I'm hoping there will be more.... Would like to read more about joe...and her relationship with her father and why he doesn't appreciate the magick. ... She is definitely one of a kind...
While keeping her witchy ghost-speak abilities under wrap, she gets involved in tracking a murderer once again - and puts herself in danger. Luckily her ghostly pals can help her out!!
I wanted a Christmas book with a fun twist and this book popped up. I really enjoyed it. It was an easy read and the characters were a lot of fun. D.S. Butler made the characters come to life. I enjoyed it so much that I downloaded the rest of the books in the series.

Keep writing more about Harper Grant and her witchy family, D S Butler, please. I want to see Harper and her nice man Joe get together. Does Granny's cat Athena have to stay blue forever? Can ghostly Loretta ascend at last? And, of course, who is next for the chop, and why? Ahhh. More chills down the spine please - we can take them!
